2016 Dry Dock schedule for Montreal Service

Dear customers,

As you are probably aware, Oceanex has committed to consolidating its vessel dry dock schedules to minimize impact to the overall service.

The Oceanex Avalon dry dock was completed in January and we are now gearing up for the Oceanex Connaigra in March and the Oceanex Sanderling later this Spring.

On Friday, February 26th, the Oceanex Connaigra will complete its voyage to St. John’s, unload and head out to dry dock.  Oceanex has secured a charter vessel to serve as a replacement during this period which will begin service in Montreal on Tuesday, March 8th.

Therefore the sailing schedule for the Montreal to St. John’s service will be revised as follows:

  • Tuesday, March 1st:      Oceanex Avalon sailing cancelled – no sailing from Montreal
  • Friday, March 4th:          Oceanex Avalon will begin Friday sailings
  • Tuesday, March 8th:      Charter vessel begins service from Montreal
  • Friday, March 11th:        Oceanex Avalon continues Friday service

This schedule will continue throughout the months of March and April until completion of the required dry docks.

It is important to note that all Ro-Ro traffic will now be moving from Montreal to St. John’s on the Tuesday sailing only via the charter vessel. Container service on Fridays will remain as usual without interruption.

We will be updating our sailing schedule as required while we near the dry dock completion dates.

Please note Oceanex will strive to ensure a seamless operation to all our customers. We regret any inconvenience that this may cause you and should you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact your local Account Manager or the Sales Group by email at [email protected] or by telephone at 1-888-875-9595.

Thank you.
